KJM 94.3 FM & NNC Region VIII Launch 2026 Season of 'One Nutrition, One Nation'

As the nation celebrates the 52nd National Nutrition Month this July with the theme "NUTRISYON AT KALIKASAN ATING PANGALAGAAN," KJM Media Production & Promotions OPC is proud to announce the renewal of its official broadcasting contract with the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region VIII.

Solidifying KJM 94.3 FM's role as a unifying voice of Eastern Samar, the station will officially broadcast the 2026 season of "One Nutrition, One Nation." This 60-minute canned radio program is designed to deliver crucial health, dietary, and lifestyle information straight to the households that need it most.

A Shared Advocacy for Eastern Visayas

The strategic partnership was formally approved on June 15, 2026, by Jayson T. Macapanas for KJM Media Production & Promotions OPC, and Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr., DPA, MPH, MAN, PSNT, the Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator (RNPC-08) for NNC Region VIII. Under Dr. Dotollo's leadership, the NNC Region VIII has been closely monitoring the province, reflecting a steady decline in stunting cases across Eastern Visayas based on 2025 data, with Eastern Samar recording a 14.90 percent stunting prevalence.

To further combat malnutrition, the NNC Region VIII continues to push vital initiatives, such as:

• Tutok Kainan: A program focusing on targeted and intensified feeding and nutrition support for vulnerable children to actively reduce stunting in high-risk areas.
• BBM Advocacy: The promotion of the “Bawal ang Bansot at Mataba” initiative to ensure healthier, better-nourished children across the region.
• First 1000 Days & 10 Kumainments: A continued push for proper breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices to establish the strongest possible foundation for early childhood care.

Broadcast Schedule & Added Value

The 10-episode series will air on KJM 94.3 FM every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, running consecutively from July 08 through September 09, 2026.

However, the advocacy does not stop when the hour is up. As part of KJM Media Production & Promotions OPC's deep commitment to the community, the station will generously provide 15 free daily spots dedicated to airing educational radio plugs. These high-frequency plugs will continuously remind listeners about the 10 Kumainments and the critical importance of the First 1000 Days.
